We have been successful with our recent bid to the Energy Redress Scheme www.energyredress.org.uk for delivery of a Countywide project that will provide energy advice and support for tenants of social landlords.
The new project will start in March 2020 and will run until December 2021. This will complement the existing energy advice we provide so that we can give year round energy advice so that we can increase the preventative work that we do. For example, helping clients to budget better in the summer months to reduce potential winter energy debt and crisis.
It will also provide us with capacity to build local Energy Advice Networks and to work with partners to join up the support pathways that are available for vulnerable clients, as well as delivering awareness-raising training for front line advisers and volunteers to become energy champions.
It’s all very exciting!
