From assisting with post-war recovery to addressing modern challenges such as the cost-of-living crisis and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the organisation has remained a steadfast partner to those in need. Last year alone, Citizens Advice County Durham helped over 22,000 people, providing them with the advice and support necessary to improve their lives.
“We are immensely proud of our history and the positive impact we’ve had on the community,” added Edward, “Our success is due to the unwavering dedication of our volunteers and staff, who give their time and expertise to support those in need. As we look to the future, we remain committed to ensuring that everyone in County Durham has access to the advice they need to overcome their challenges and move forward. We offer in person advice in 15 locations across the county along with digital advice via phone, webchat and email”
